A Live Fish Carrier designed by Skipsteknisk and currently under construction at Turkey’s Besiktas Shipyard is shown in today’s image.
The ship’s construction is part of a deal signed in 2013 between Besiktas Shipyard and Norwegian shipping company Intership for the construction of 2 live fish carriers.
This ST-550 Live Fish Carrier is designed for operation along the Norwegian coast or in other salmon farming coastal areas.
The vessel is a single screw propelled vessel, designed with low resistance hull to achieve low fuel oil consumption during transport.
