Nhism, from manual ; Connecting Instruments Connection Wizard Automatic Port Configuration Rather choose this option to launch an automatic search for serial ports and data received. Choose Automatic Port Configuration option to have MaxSea search automatically for your GPS and click Next. A new window is displayed asking you to check following to prepare your GPS before starting the "AUTODETECTION": o All NMEA devices (GPS, Etc..) are powered on. o All cables are securely connected (Serial cable and/or Network cable if connected to NavNet) o NMEA sentences are enabled on your GPS. o When everything seems to be OK, click “Next” to start Autodetection. At the end all data are listed : Check each data getting on port com3, next screen will display reporting data table o If data were detected, click "Next" to display a connections report. Report gives detail on current connections (data list and its actual status). o If MaxSea could not find any GPS sending data, nor NavNet network, click "back" or "Cancel", and verify everything is correctly connected and configured as indicated in the previous Step. Note : for USB to serial adapter, verify that drivers are up to date and recognized by the operating system. Also use this little program to determine gps port
matrixdu, I also tried downloading the software in the manual but when I opened it, it said it couldn't find GPS, but I tried to turn on my GPS location on my laptop and tried to go to Google Map to see if it worked and I saw it worked. But why can't the other software find GPS? Have you encountered this error before? Can you tell me how to fix it if you have? Thank you http://seatracker.me/i/p/f0/b6/...b7d79ed942f5.jpg
Nhism, It is hard to tell without informations ? what kind of gps you are trying to use ? usb ? bluetooth ? some other ? I see you are trying to use Frenson gps gate ..... maybe video can help
Any idea why Chile charts are completely missing in JEPPESEN SDVJSAM504MAP18.dbv? I could not find any JEPPESEN chart with Chilean coastline, but some show coverage as present. Please help.
Musel, thanks, I know about Navionics and already downloaded. Strange... there is a small area of Chile in JEPPESEN chart... I will test older production, maybe these restrictions are for recent charts.
matrixdu, yeah, I know, but this preview could be wrong. Tested SDVJSAM500MAP18, SDVJSAM501MAP26, SDVJSAM504MAP22, no Chile charts! SDVJSAM504MAP20 is the same, there is some chart cut-off.
