Rotterdam-based container line NileDutch is starting a new weekly South America – South Africa – West Africa service through a Vessel Sharing Agreement (VSA), most likely with the French carrier CMA CGM. As of August 21, NileDutch will operate the 3,100 TEU MV NileDutch Luanda as one of the six vessels on this rotation. The new service will have the following port rotation: Navegantes, Paranagua, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Cape Town, Luanda, Pointe Noire (every two weeks) and Navegantes. Cargo from Buenos Aires and Rio Grande will be transported to the port of Santos by feeder. Luanda will be NileDutch’s hub for cargo for Lobito, Namibe, Cabinda, Soyo, Boma and Matadi.
